Thank you Pocatello and Chubbuck for 15 wonderful years. We will truly miss all of our students we had over the years. Below is a letter that we released to our students towards the end of the last dance season.
After dancing for 30 years in her lifetime doing what she loves, Kara Williams will bring down the final curtain on her dance studio and move forward to a new and exciting phase of life. This May after our "Year End Recital" Rhythm 'n' Sole Dance Studio will close its doors, ending 15 years of teaching dance to children of all ages in the Pocatello/Chubbuck area.
All though it was not always Known as Rhythm 'n' Sole Dance Studio. Kara first started teaching dance at the Dance Mill in 2000. After that studio shut down that year she continued to teach her class that she had with that studio and they called themselves Kara's Cloggers until Kara started to introduce Hip Hop into her dance curriculum and changed the name of her studio to Rhythm 'n' Sole Dance Studio and was renting space inside of the Gateway Foundation. After Kara and Tyler married she moved the dance studio into their one car garage and taught there until they were bursting at the seams and moved to their first store front dance studio in the Alameda Plaza on Yellowstone Ave. (by the new Winco) and they introduced Jazz and Zumba Fitness to their Curriculum. They continued to grow in size and have moved to bigger/better facilities to better accommodate their cliental.
We have been blessed to have such wonderful parent's and talented dancer's. Over the years we have brought home countless 1st Place State and National Titles and have won many overall studio awards at competitions. We also have had the pleasure of being voted as one of the Best dance studio's in the area for several years in the Idaho State Journal's reader's choice awards. All of these accomplishments that we have reached are because of you. We thank you for the many years of support that you have shown us. The majority of you have been with us for several years and it has been a delight to watch your dancer's grow in their dancing ability and see their self esteem grow and prosper.
It has been our mission with the studio to prove that you can have an award winning studio and still have modest costumes and age appropriate choreography and that you don't have to sacrifice your standards to participate in dance. You have helped us accomplish this mission through the years and we hope that you have enjoyed helping us with this.
As many of you know we have been heavily involved in the foster care system as foster parents the last few years and it has also grown a special place in our hearts. This has been such a roller coaster of emotions and it has not been easy for sure, but it has been worth it. We knew that we could care for children that weren't our own, we created a business around children and we love children. The one thing that we didn't realize was how much it would have impacted us personally. We have been truly blessed by our foster child and We encourage you and your family to please consider becoming a foster family if you are capable of doing so. There are so many children right in the Pocatello/Chubbuck area that could use your help. If you are not currently capable of doing foster care, please consider it in the future when your circumstances change.
Please know that this decision is not something that we have taken lightly. We have been considering it for some time now and praying about it. We have come to the decision that we need to move on with a new phase of life. This has been a very difficult decision to come to as we have absolutely loved being around you and your children. We Love our dance family, and we don't want this to be final good bye but a see you later. We look forward to seeing you in the community. We have many wickedly talented dancer's at our studio and we hope that you continue to follow your dreams and would not be surprised if we see sometime down the road that some of you open your own studio!
"Follow your dreams and the universe will open doors for you where there were only walls." This quote is so true and it has been an amazing road that we have been on with the studio. We will miss seeing you every week during class. Let's make this last few months a fantastic last few months. We just had the Idaho State Championships Dance Competition and we brought home some Awesome Awards! 18 First Place Awards and 16 Second Place Awards. Let's work hard and do just as good or better at the Lagoon Competition in May. We want to be able to end with a bang and know that we will be able to because of our crazy talented dancer's and awesome parents.
God Bless you all and we love you!
Kara and Tyler Williams
